Don't Move
Margaret Mazzantini

Project Overview
A story of love, guilt, obsession, and the fragile boundary between the person we appear to be and the person we become when confronted with the truth.
The high heels are one of the most vibrant and significant symbols in the story, carrying within them the tension between desire, identity, passion, and the life that Timoteo has built around himself. I felt that only oil on canvas could do justice to their presence and symbolism. The richness, texture, and depth of the medium allowed me to give this central image the intensity it deserved, turning the cover into an extension of the story itself.
